Jesus Feeds The 13,000…

Wasn't that 5,000? Actually yes... But, because of you, SSO has been able to serve nearly 13,000 active duty military service members at Christ-centered events since 2014 and thousands have prayed to receive Christ. Your "loaves and fish" are making this possible!

When we first started SSO nearly 9 years ago, we were sure there were others doing what we're doing. Since then we've discovered that's not true. No other organization is bringing the gospel exclusively to active military through outdoor adventure like SSO.

Active Duty Service Members Respond To Hearing THE Good News

God is on the move!

In the first quarter of this year we've hosted over 500 active duty military service members at rock climbing, skydiving, horseback riding, and more, using outdoor adventure as a means to share the ultimate Good News. These are young Gen X, Gen Z, and Millennials, and incredibly over half of attendees have prayed with us to receive Christ.

Open Doors & New Staff

The doors to serving military service members are wide open with new commands and chaplains reaching out to us almost every day. 2023 has been a whirlwind of our teams crisscrossing the U.S. doing outdoor adventures while delivering the life-giving, life-affirming message of the gospel.

  • Our Texas team is on pace to have more programs this year than ever before.

  • Several units in Georgia, Kentucky, and North Carolina are requesting additional events that our teams will be scheduling over the next several months.

  • And, planning for potential new events in Hawaii and Florida continues.

We've brought on new staff in Colorado and Tennessee in order to meet this growing demand from military leaders for SSO's unique approach to resiliency and spiritual fitness.

Dr. Randy Garcia (Retired USMC LtCol)

Randy is out Deputy Director and Colorado Area Director. He oversees programs for service members in Colorado and works with SSO headquarters to support procedures and operations.

Dr. Richard Davis (Retired US Army MSG - Green Beret)

Richard is our Tennessee/Kentucky Area Director. In addition to running progams for soldiers in the Fort Campbell area, Richard will assist in covering Georgia and North Carolina. He is also the military pastor for First Baptist Church Clarksville, which complements his role with SSO.

As Christians, we were instructed by Christ to "Go" and, like Isaiah, we're saying "Here am I. Send me."

Only God knows where we fit in His grand design, but we do know we've got no time to lose and this isn't the time to be timid or slow down.

  • We believe we're witnessing a revival in our time.

  • The hunger among our nation's warriors to hear the truth of Jesus Christ and the response to the gospel message is huge.
